What is your role at DASI?
Recently, I moved into a Sales Manager role with the goal of helping our reps, as well as the customers, better understand how our tools and solutions assist in meeting the engineering objectives of the companies we work with and support.
How long have you been working at DASI?
I have been at DASI since 2005.
What do you enjoy most about working for DASI?
The team here is like family and we all share the same goal in making it a point to help our customers obtain their engineering objectives.
What would people be surprised to know is part of your role at DASI?
To help a customer find the best solution for what ails them, even if it is not a product or service we offer currently.
Describe a typical “Day in the Life” for you at DASI.
Most of my days are spent talking with our reps – or directly with our customers – about understanding what types of issues they are trying to solve and helping find answers.
Do you have an office nickname? What is it, and how did you get it?
B – I guess because B-R-Y-O-N is too hard to pronounce 🙂
Be honest – who did you know at DASI that got you the job?
I met David Darbyshire when I had my own business through going to networking events at Automation Alley. He was working with us to buy SOLIDWORKS and brought me on board when we decided to close up shop.
Before working at DASI, what was the most unusual or interesting job you had?
I spent 6 years in the US Navy. I was lucky in both commands that I spent time with to be able to enjoy some unique opportunities not afforded to some other ships. I visited many countries that I may never get to see again and enjoyed every minute of it!
Share one random fact about you.
Almost one year ago at the age of 43, I woke up and decided I was going to learn how to play the guitar if it kills me (never played before)… Still alive and still trying!
What is the best vacation you ever went on?
We took a large family vacation to Florida over spring break a few years back. We rented a large house on the waterway and spent a week relaxing. Everyone had a great time, adults and kids alike, and there were no issues!
Who would play you in a movie about your life?
I would like to say Clint Eastwood, but the reality would probably be more like Drew Carey.
What are three things you enjoy?
Boating, hunting and guitar….. Oh I mean, family, friends and boating 😉
Tell us a joke.
There’s two muffins in the oven, the one muffin looks over at the other muffin and says… “Man is it hot in here!” The other muffin says, “Holy $#!% a talking muffin!” Wait for it…..
