Lynnette would like everyone to know that today (May 12) is her birthday and that she is accepting gifts in all shapes, sizes and forms! 🙂
What is your role at DASI?
Subscription Service Specialist
How long have you been working at DASI?
Since January 2015
What do you enjoy most about working for DASI?
On most days, I would have to say that my co-workers are my favorite part of working at DASI Solutions. It really does feel like a big family here. Some days there are squabbles, and there can be little annoyances, but that’s how you know you really care for the people you work with because you still enjoy coming back day after day. Everyone works together to not just make DASI Solutions a better company but to make each other better in our positions within the company. I couldn’t have asked for a better company, and people, to work for. Then, on the days that my co-workers aren’t on the top of my favorites list it’s always nice to work across the street from a wine market.
Be honest – who did you know at DASI that got you the job?
While doing a presentation in my college speech class, I mentioned that I had been working as a collections agent for about 6 years at the time. My professor stopped me after class and let me know that her current employer was actually looking for someone with collections skills and thought I would be a great candidate for that position. Boy was she right! I bet she is extremely thankful she got me as a student that semester, because now she gets to enjoy seeing me every day at work plus I share my Netflix login with her now too. 🙂
Tell us about your family
I have truly been blessed with a few of the most amazing children any parent could ask for. I have a 13-year-old son, Logan, who is almost taller than me now (insert mommy sigh here). I have a soon-to-be 10-year-old son, Keegan, who has the biggest heart I have ever encountered. Then there is our sweet, odd, daughter Scarlette who is 2. She tends to speak in a southern accent yet she knows no one with a southern accent; it’s quite the mystery. I have a great husband named David who I stalked for many years before convincing him just to go out with me. We have been married one year this May.
If you were to write your autobiography, what would the title be?
So Yeah, That Just Happened.
What is the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery?
I would rent Cher for the day and have a tea party.
What is the best vacation that you ever went on?
The best vacation that I have been on so far would have to be my trip to New Orleans in 2015. My then fiancé, David, and I went in May of last year because we thought we would be getting there before the heat kicked in. But we were so terribly wrong. From the minute we stepped outside the airport in New Orleans until the time we landed back in Michigan we were covered in sweat and taming frizzed out hair. We experienced so much culture from the food, carriage ride tours, the art, the tarot readers, and the music you could hear on every street corner. Best part was that I surprised by fiancé with a pre-planned elopement. I had a reverend on stand by and we got married outside at the New Orleans Museum of Art Sculpture Garden, just the two of us and some frogs and turtles as our witnesses.
Where would you like to go on your next vacation?
My hope is to go to Universal Studios within the next year or so. I really want to go to Hogwarts and try some Butter Beer 🙂 and get myself a wand made just for me.
Do you have any phobias?
Aluminum foil…therefore I am going to have to ask that people quit foiling my office. There are other phobias, but I will not be mentioning it because I refuse to give anyone more ideas of how to torment me.
