What’s New SOLIDWORKS 2019: Partial Chamfers and Fillets – Feature Update

What's New in SOLIDWORKS 2019

The Chamfer and Fillet feature has been enhanced in SOLIDWORKS 2019 to provide the ability to create partial features with specified lengths .

  1. Click Chamfer on the features toolbar or Insert > Features > Chamfer.
  2. Right-click the edge shown and click Select Tangency.

  3. In the Property Manager:
    •  Under Chamfer Type, click Offset Face

    • Select Full preview and Partial Edge Parameters

    • In the Start and End conditions enter the desired offset.
  4. Click the green check mark to complete the chamfer

TIP: A Chamfer can be changed to a Fillet (and vice versa) using the Right-click menu
