SolidWorks has so many functions that it is almost impossible to know how to use every one of them.  In most cases Engineers and Designers use a small subset of the functions that are needed to complete their designs.  I still learn new things about SolidWorks even though I’ve been using SolidWorks since 1997!

The objective of this webinar is to share 5 SolidWorks Tips that you may have never seen before.  For example, if you are working with an assembly model and want to focus on one or two components you can quickly hide all but those components using the Isolate command.

In the example below we want to focus on the hot water handle of this vanity assembly.

The right click dialog box for the knob shows the Isolate option.

Once the part is Isolated we can zoom in and focus on that part.  And when we are done just click Exit Isolate to return to the assembly.

Join us in this Webinar with Mark Downey to learn more about the Isolate command and a few other tips including:

  • How to set up a template with the Z-Axis oriented upwards
  • Uses for 3D Interconnect
  • A useful selection tool
  • And an Extrude option that you may have never used
